EYE ON THE SKY: CHRISTMAS, & THE CALL TO REBIRTH
With the New Moon last week near the Winter Solstice to occurring in Mula Nakshatra (0°–13°20′ Sagittarius)—we are reminded that rebirth often comes through darkness. Mula, aligned with the Galactic Center, represents deep dissolution that clears the way for awakening. The Goddess Nirriti does not destroy for punishment, but to uproot illusions and restore truth.
At this moment, we are being asked to choose gratitude and awareness over fear. Global narratives continue to push for war with Europe, pretending to support peace but secretly wanting war with Russia, and they just failed to take Russia’s assets. Gaza seems rather fragile and Hamas is not giving up their weapons and Iran is stock-piling missiles as if they will not go away a defeated alley cat. The abundance of the stock market has been great for those with the right stocks and accounts but so few benefit. The biggest Christmas gift this year was the creation of investment accounts for 25 million children born between 2025-28 to receive a $1000 Treasury seed invested in an index fund.
Real change begins locally—through compassion, generosity, and service. Supporting food banks, helping the homeless, and simply being kind matter more than ever. These acts should not be limited to the holiday season. There are far more people choosing goodness than darkness, even if they receive less attention. We are here to uplift one another—not to live in fear, waiting for the next crisis.
This last New Moon also aligns beautifully with a deeper spiritual rebirth. As Jupiter is in its own star of Punvarvasu (Gemini 20-Cancer 3.20) and the energy shifts toward feeling the abundance and generosity of the Divine. It is a powerful reminder that the true work now is internal—awakening our inner light.
Paramahansa Yogananda captured this message perfectly in his reflection on the birth of Christ:
“Every day, every hour, every golden second, Christ has been knocking… Now, in this sacred dawn, Christ is especially coming in answer to your inner call, to awaken His Christ Consciousness within you.”
“The Infinite Christ is everywhere. You can never see Him unless He chooses to be born in the cradle of your unceasing devotion.”
“Make the crib of your heart enormous—so that social, national, international, and Cosmic Christ-love may be born there and become One Love.”
— The Second Coming of Christ

This season invites us to expand our hearts beyond fear, beyond division, and beyond self-concern. Rebirth is not something that happens to us—it is something we consciously choose.
May this Winter Solstice and the Christmas season awaken that choice within us all.
