Here’s a quick overview from a classical perspective of the day the Feng Shui Society was set up: 9 November 1993. (Courtesy of Krzysztof Pazowski, founder of Chinese Metasoft, who kindly provided this day’s chart and evaluation and FREE feng shui calculators for the FSS website)
There is a lot of water element present. This can imply that the FSS’s focus is on communication. Jia Wu Day: a strong horse energy, suggests a drive and determination. There are two Jia, two strong pillars powered by water element. There is also the fire element (suitable for metaphysical matters), and an additional ½ fire combination (Wu + Xu). Internal pillars (Hour, Day) are the fire element, focused on metaphysics and development (wood element). Externally (month and year) water element is about communication, networking, and human resources.
In short, this energetic configuration, based on the Five Element Theory of the 9th of November, 1993, suggests that the FSS’s main focus is on communicating feng shui topics to the feng shui enthusiasts, networking and building a human resource organisation (feng shui consultants). These factors are in alignment with the FSS’s values of serving the public and feng shui consultants as well as developing feng shui as a professional discipline.

Watch Krzysztof Pazowski, founder of Chinese Metasoft, who kindly provided this day’s evaluation. Krzysztof will be giving a talk about feng shui tools/calculators at our FENG SHUI SKILLS DAY on Saturday, 18 November 2023.
Below is his talk for the FSS during one of our conferences, where he explains how his software works, what it does and how it can be used by feng shui consultants and any feng shui enthusiasts worldwide.
Read an interview with Krzysztof Pazowski, founder of Chinese Metasoft
Krzysztof was passionate about metaphysics in his early years and was inspired by the book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. He has completed a series of Huna Kalani workshops, Numerology, the SILVA Method, Pranic Healing, Pranic Psychotherapy and REIKI. In 2003, Krzysztof started his journey into Chinese Metaphysics, which included Feng Shui, Ba Zi, Xuan Kong Da Gua, Da Liu Ren, Qi Men Dun Jia, Yi Jing, Tong Shu, Ze Ri and Zi Wei Dou Shu. He learned from many schools and masters while travelling to China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Hawaii, Canada, and many places in Europe. Krzysztof obtained his M.Sc. Degree from Oxford University in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing. Since then, he has worked with software development technologies, mainly using Microsoft Stack. Today, Krzysztof combines his passion and professional skills to build software for Metaphysical tools with a special interest in AI and applications in business and health.
- What brought you to set up a software application in Chinese Metaphysics?
The interest and study of Chinese Metaphysics began in 2003. After I graduated from mathematics in 2011 and gained enough experience in software development, I started building applications in 2013. I would say that one of the driving forces was ‘from frustration to solution’. I needed to store the BaZi charts, export, have them easily accessible online, printable, and there was no good solution on the market for that yet. On the other hand, I wanted to use my mathematical and software development skills and apply them to my hobby, Chinese Metaphysics. In 2014, with the support of the EU start-up scheme (SPEED Plus programme), the Chinese Metasoft company was established. - What modalities does Chinese Metasoft cover?
Chinese Metasoft is a SaaS platform, Software as a Service. It is a web application accessible from multiple devices, an Internet connection is needed.
It operates as a subscription-based product (1 month, 1 year) with various package levels. It has multiple settings so that practitioners from many different schools of Chinese Metaphysics can set up the application the way they wish to use it. - Who are your subscribers, and do you provide training?
Location-wise, there is no border, subscribers come from all over the world. The software was translated into 21 languages; many subscribers are not English-speaking. I would distinguish three major groups among members:
(1) students/beginners who are undergoing training with some teacher/master/school and need software to calculate,
(2) practitioners/consultants who need software for their consultancy business,
(3) teachers who need software for their courses and teaching programmes.
Age varies from 18 to 92.
Subscriber receives a Welcome Email once a year with information and links to PDFs. Occasionally I appear in the events and courses when I explain how to use the software. Some teachers take the initiative and provide the training for their own students. - How did you get into Chinese Metaphysics (Feng Shui, Bazi, QiMen Dun Jia, …)? Where and how did you study it?
My uncle taught me meditation when I was young, then I read the book by Joseph Murphy ‘The Power of Your Subconscious Mind’ that opened the path to further questioning. I investigated many metaphysical fields and received some training, including Hawaiian Huna, Pranic Healing, Reiki, Silva Method, Numerology, however the Chinese Metaphysics, because of the complexity and calculations, triggered my interest at the time when I was studying mathematics.
The system looked advanced and complete, covering calculations about time and space influence on human lives. When we study Chinese Metaphysics, we also talk about psychology, philosophy, and strategies in life, which are very useful.
I received training from many different teachers and schools. Some training was in a class: Poland, Canada, Malaysia, and The United Kingdom, but some had involved travelling and site/mountains seeing in China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Poland. There were many courses, which I took as a distant/online training. - What has been the most challenging aspect in producing your software?
The software producing involves 3 major layers:
(1) data base (where the data is stored),
(2) back end (where major algorithms are produced),
(3) front end (what we see on the website).
The last part, front end, was the most challenging, and I needed to hire some help from a UI (User Interface) software developer. He still helps me, we rewrite the site into a responsive version, that will be more user friendly on mobile devices. - What advice would you give to someone looking to subscribe and use your Metaphysics technology?
If you are a beginner, then focus on one application at the time. Don’t feel overwhelmed by the abundance of information. Select settings to hide advanced display, use one method; sometimes the less is better. Calculate the way that your teacher is telling you, and practice. Finally, use it daily. For advanced practitioners, be aware that there are multiple schools and approaches, e.g., Solar Calendar vs. Lunar Calendar, and Solar Time calculations. Sometimes, we need to do research and question the person/client to find a workable chart.
- What advice would you give to a Chinese metaphysics practitioner?
(a) Be patient, it is rewarding.
(b) One cannot learn all in one school. It is worth studying multiple approaches, by comparing and contrasting. Attend conferences.
(c) Know yourself by studying BaZi, find a good Feng Shui place to live in, and tune with the time using the Date Selection.
(d) Memorise basics: 5 elements interaction, 8 trigrams, 24 mountains, 64 hexagrams and a few basic formulas.
(e) On some occasions, go with the flow and observe the energy impact by staying reactive, learn from it. On other occasions stay proactive, plan the future to your advantage using the Date Selection.
(f) If confused by multiple formulas, know that all describe the same elephant but from different angles.
(g) Practice. After all, it is an interesting lifestyle.
(h) Support yourself with Chinese Metasoft software 😊
www.chinesemetasoft.com - What direction is your Chinese metaphysics-related work currently taking you? What lies ahead?
Chinese Metaphysics has many fields. Yet there are two major applications that need to be added to the platform: I Ching (Yi Jing) and ZWDS (Zi We Dou Shu). The Feng Shui section also needs expansion into Ba Zhai, Water Methods, and charting. This year the focus is on adding extra information to the Qi Men Dun Jia, completing the Yi Jing application, and expanding Feng Shui section. I also re-take the Da Liu Ren course this year and expand this application.
